Common questions
Do you offer colo in Toronto?
Our Canadian colocation is in Montréal, at Cologix MTL2 and MTL3. Toronto is a network site for us: we sell IP transit and interconnection there, not cabinet space.
Can I keep my own carrier, or do I need Virtuo BGP?
Keep your carrier if you have one and we pull the cross-connect. If you would rather not run that yourself, take BGP transit on our network and we handle the routing.
What happens if I go over the included power?
Your hardware keeps running. We call you first, then move you up a tier or add a circuit, and the extra draw is billed.
Can I start small and grow later?
Yes. Going from a single server to a half rack happens in the same building, so you keep your IP addressing and your cross-connects stay in place.
Does the hardware stay in Québec?
Yes. Anything you rack in Montréal stays at Cologix MTL2 or MTL3, which often simplifies your Law 25 paperwork. Québec's grid is 99.6% renewable, according to the Canada Energy Regulator.
